3 things about what Green cleaning is.

December 11, 2012 by Crunchygirl

1.)Green cleaning is, number one, green or organic. Green means that natural products with organic ingredients have no toxins in them like chemicals. 2.)Green cleaning is, number two, safe for the environment. OK so everybody knows that if your green your doing good for the planet. So, the bad thing about non-green cleaners is that the toxins in the cleaner give off harmful chemicals in the air, polluting it,and making it not safe for us and the earth.3) Green cleaning is, number three, more efficient for what you use it for. More mothers that are absolutely mad that they aren’t getting the clean  they want out of their cleaning supplies! Buy them from the store?Check the labels, are they natural, “Green”,if yes great! But if you say no your out of luck. :( So what if the things at the store aren’t green or organic, make them yourself! Its easy to make it at home. You can look at my recipes or Google some. You can do it!!!

Castile Soap and what to use it for.

December 11, 2012 by Crunchygirl

Castile Soap and what to use it for. The background and ingredients of Castile Soap are as follows;  Castile soap can be traced back to Levant where Aleppo soap makers have been making olive and Laurel oil based soaps for millennia. It is believed that the Crusaders brought Aleppo soaps back to Europe with them in the 11th century. The soap was made in factories all over the world. Then in the 15th century in Marseille France they made Marseille soap but however the makers in Europe did not have easy access to Laurel oil so that was taken off the list of ingredients. They  created olive oil instead to replace the Laurel oil. Therefore creating the amazing Castile soap. The ingredients in it are; Water, olive oil, and lye crystles.

At my house we use Castile soap in hand soap. But if you have absolutely no idea what to use it in or for; here are some ideas.

1.) Shampoo2.) Laundry soap3.) Tub wash 4.) Mopping solution 5.) Dishwasher detergent     6.) Hand soap

Knowing whats in your product is a huge deal!I love that when I’m offering my guests some of my products I can tell them exactly whats in it . You may want to look at selling your products and telling your customers what ingredients are in them.People are obsessed with homemade cleaners, so am I.Its also nice to know that the person who made the cleaner knew how it feels to know whats in the cleaner.
